Our European headquarters is based in Amersfoort where we currently base 45 employees. Besides that, there are satellite offices in London and Berlin. Our global headquarters is based in Seattle. In contrast to many other skincare brands in Europe we sell our products primarily via multiple owned webshops based on Sales Force Commerce Cloud Platform. Therefore, we are an organization with a very strong eCommerce focus and drive. Marketplace Specialist (Amazon, bol.com)

Paula’s Choice Skincare Marketplace Specialist will be trained internal to learn all about Amazon, bol.com and explore together for new best marketplaces in Europe. Within this role you drive our business on marketplaces and you learn about all the ins and outs of this business model. The Marketplace Specialist will be reporting directly to our Marketplace Manager.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate the execution (content and design) on Marketplaces in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Keyword research (SEO) and adapt this to optimize our product search.
  • Monitor marketing campaigns/strategies and new product set up and content support on Marketplaces (lightning deals, PPC, Headline Search Ads).
  • Improve Marketplaces customer experience by cooperation with customer service over recurring questions to improve content, process or service.
  • Monitor marketplaces for errors, alerts, questions and enquiries and resolve with a high sense of urgency.

What do you bring:

  • Bachelor Degree in economics, marketing or related field.
  • Experience with Digital Marketing within a consumer brand is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Dutch and English language. German, French or Spanish is a plus.
  • Speaks international marketing, business and ICT language.
  • Analytics skills are highly developed.
  • Are results-oriented, and someone who likes to take the initiative.
  • Outstanding communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Have the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast moving environment that encourages responsible risk- taking.

Finance Controller

Debit and Credit are the two most common words in your vocabulary. Bookkeeping does not have any secrets for you. You are able to provide a profit and loss account without even breaking your head around this.
As Finance Controller you will be reporting directly to the Business Controller.

What will you be doing:

  • Responsible for accurate an timely bookkeeping.
  • Responsible for financial reporting and closing processes, including monthly/quarterly reporting.
  • Maintaining the monthly balance sheet dossier.
  • Prepare and finalizing the income statement.
  • Prepare and provide daily reporting overview on sales numbers.
  • Responsible for VAT returns and reporting.
  • Managing payment and banking processes.
  • Adding to the overall quality of the financial administration.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of the financial administration.
  • Support in any financial analyses & ad hoc reports necessary.

What will you bring:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting/Controlling.
  • Previous work experience and/or internships in Finance.
  • Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
  • Knowledge of taxes, especially VAT considered as a plus.
  • MS Office Proficiency, especially MS Excel, knowledge of SAP considered as a plus.
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken), Dutch considered as a plus.
  • Pro-active attitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Director Business Development, Partner Management & PR

Business development: Create new business in our European core countries (Germany/Austria, the UK, France, the Netherlands/Belgium, Sweden) and new focus countries.
Partner Management: Realise new partnerships with selected retailers and etailers throughout Europe that help build our brand awareness and grow our business.
PR: Define the European PR, influencer and education strategy, together with your teams, brand marketing and in global alignment.

In this role you will report to the European General Manager and be part of the European Management Team together with the director Marketing & Digital, director Finance & Operations and manager HR.

What will you do?

  • Further develop our Business Development strategy and set the right priorities together with your team and stakeholders to ensure commercial targets are met.
  • Translate strategy into clearly defined deliverables and tactical plans. Adopt an agile way of working.
  • Manage budgets and rolling forecasts. Build business cases for new opportunities.
  • Find the right partners and people in new focus countries to continue growing our business, in close collaboration with the Marketing & Digital team.
  • Establish new partnerships with selected retailers and etailers throughout Europe that help build our brand awareness and grow our business. Negotiate commercial agreements, define assortment and trade marketing programs.
  • Cherish current retail/etail partnerships and grow the business together. Manage Key Accounts on senior (buyer) level.
  • Define the European PR and influencer strategy, together with your teams, brand marketing and in global alignment.
  • Develop other new ways to build our brand and business.
  • Coach, inspire and develop the country and business development teams, who are responsible for their local etailers and retailers as well as PR, social media, community management, partnerships and events.
  • Ensure robust annual strategic plans by market and by customer are developed within each country team.
  • Coach, inspire and develop the Manager of Education & Applied Research who plays an essential role in PR, events and training our partners and colleagues.
  • You will lead a team of approximately 12 people of whom 6 direct reports. The team will grow as we grow our footprint in Europe.
  • Build strong peer-to-peer relationships with colleagues in the US and Asia and share best practices.
  • You are a true brand ambassador both externally and internally and a driver of a strong internal culture, even though the teams are often not physically close.

What will you bring:

  • You have an eye for new business opportunities and make ideas happen.
  • You are a strategic thinker and you know how to focus and prioritise. You help others keep track.
  • Broad experience in international business development, partner/account management (preferably retail), PR, influencers. Experience in beauty (preferably skincare) is a plus.
  • You are a charming and smart negotiator.
  • You are outgoing and you know when it is important to visit your teams and partners.
  • Strong leadership skills. You help people grow and you can bring people together cross-functionally; we reach success together.
  • Excellent analytical skills, data driven, you know your numbers.
  • Experience with commercial forecasting.
  • Outstanding communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Fluent in English and preferably Dutch. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
