What does it do?
Unveil your glow with this powerful AHA face and body exfoliant duo.
AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) gently remove the accumulated layer of dead skin cells on the skin's surface to reveal the healthy, radiant skin underneath. AHAs have benefits for all skin types—reducing lines and wrinkles, improving skin’s firmness, texture, and tone. Their hydrating properties and ability to improve visible signs of sun damage make them perfect for normal to dry skin with advanced signs of ageing.
The Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA is unique blend of four AHA’s (glycolic, lactic, malic, and tartaric acid) and 0.5% BHA (salicylic acid) to powerfully, yet gently remove dead skin cells to dramatically improve the signs of dry, dull skin and uneven skin tone. The silky-light lotion provides immediate as well as long-lasting hydration, leaving skin feel soft and smooth.
The Skin Revealing Body Lotion 10% AHA is a creamy, lightweight leave-on exfoliant containing 10% AHA which gently but effectively sheds built-up dead skin cells to reveal smoother, more radiant skin. This gentle lotion also helps to improve the appearance of rough, bumpy skin on the arms and legs leaving skin soft and moisturised. How to use
When using an AHA exfoliant for the first time, introduce it into your routine slowly. Start by using your exfoliant once every other day, and then increase usage to once or twice daily based on your skin’s response.
Apply the Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA daily or weekly after cleansing and toning. Dispense 2-3 drops and apply to the face and neck, avoiding the lower lash line and eyelids. Do not rinse. For daytime, always follow with a moisturiser containing a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.
Massage the Skin Revealing Body Lotion 10% AHA onto clean skin in gentle circular motions. May be used daily or applied only to dry areas as often as needed. If using with an additional moisturiser, apply this treatment first and adjust amount used based on personal preference. For daytime use, wear under a Paula's Choice sunscreen.

Good to know before you start using your exfoliant.
It is best to gradually build up use of an AHA product. Start by using your exfoliant once every other day and then increase usage to once or twice daily based on your skin’s response. You need to experiment a bit to see what suits your skin best. During the day, always use a moisturiser with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater. Your skin will in fact be slightly more sensitive to sunlight when using an exfoliant, so the chance of sunburn and sun damage is slightly higher.
Why did we choose to use a blend of AHAs?
We wanted to create a product that harnessed the integrated power of multiple acids. The idea was to formulate a product with acids that have different molecular sizes and that each work a little differently on skin. Here’s a breakdown:
- Glycolic Acid – penetrates skin rapidly and stimulates collagen production.
- Lactic Acid – an exfoliant that also enhances skin hydration.
- Malic Acid – promotes surface exfoliation and has some antioxidant properties.
- Tartaric Acid – assists the exfoliation process. Also contributes to buffer the system to help maintain the pH.
